App for gym users

Celebrity chef and nutritionist Zoe Bingley-Pullin has partnered with Balance Health Club to launch Newcastle’s first specialised app aimed at gym users.
Zoe, the host of Good Chef Bad Chef, has compiled nutritional advice and recipes for people using the app, which also allows users to make a shopping list so they don’t forget the ingredients for their favourite recipes.
Balance Health Club developed the app in response to feedback from members who wanted information at their fingertips to help them choose classes, be notified of instructor changes and view workout videos.
Group Health and Fitness manager William Proctor said Balance was the first health club in Newcastle and The Hunter to develop a specialised app free for their members.
He said using the latest technology to make it easier for people to choose a lifestyle geared towards health and fitness was a prime motivator for Balance.
“Many people want to make great choices about their health and fitness, but in the hustle and bustle of work, kids and family commitments, people’s personal health and fitness goals are often prioritised down the list,” Mr Proctor said.
