New office fit-out delivers unexpected benefits
When Strategic Group, a Newcastle computer systems integration company, relocated to Wickham Harbourside, Chris Boswell, CEO, needed a company to design and manage the office fit-out before they moved in. After consultation and recommendations from clients, he decided on Evoke Projects.
Evoke managed the fit-out from the design concept through to completion.
Making the most of views and space the design team listened carefully to what Chris wanted to achieve and the first stage was recently completed.
According to Chris increased productivity is just one business improvement that he’s noticed along with inter-office communications.
“Each business group used to be in a separate office so you had to walk through corridors to have a face-to-face conversation. Now, the 600 square metre open-plan space encourages people to talk to each other.”
He also said that the large kitchen area encourages the team to spend time with each other chatting and relaxing rather than going out for lunch and informal meetings are held in the staffroom increasing productivity through the extra communication.
