Lake Macquarie Business Women launched
Business women in Lake Macquarie have been invited to make 2014 a year to connect at the Lake Macquarie Women in Business Network. The first of the monthly networking events was launched at the Business Growth Centre on 26 February.
Mayor of Lake Macquarie, Councillor Jodie Harrison was the keynote speaker at the launch event and provided an insight into the importance of women in business in Lake Macquarie.
This new networking initiative was conceived by the Business Growth Centre with the assistance of the Centre’s Business Partner, Rachael Sheldrick of GS Mechanical. It was identified, that even though there are a number of networking activities available for business people of Newcastle and Lake Macquarie; there wasn’t a networking event specifically for business women in Lake Macquarie.
Rachael Sheldrick believes networking can be an important marketing tactic for businesses and in the right forum women can make meaningful and reciprocal connections that will help grow their business. “The aim of the Lake Macquarie Women in Business Network is to provide attendees with a relaxed and friendly environment to discover real connections, gain inspiration and promote their business.“ The Lake Macquarie Women in Business Network events will be held on the 4th Wednesday of each month. Women who attend will have the opportunity to promote their business and services during the introductions and Business Growth Centre Guest.
