$100M Stockland Glendale expansion approved
The $100 million Stockland Glendale expansion has been approved by Hunter’s Joint Regional Planning Panel.
The project will see the number of retail outlets at Glendale grow from 50 to 103 and include a bigger Coles, an enclosed mall and boulevardstyle restaurant precinct. According to Mayor Jodie Harrison “this project will allow Glendale to become one of Lake Macquarie City’s major centres, providing further employment opportunity and boosting the local economy.”
It is expected that Council’s Lake Macquarie Transport Interchange will unlock further development potential for the area by providing essential transport links and improving connectivity between town centres once it is also complete.
